A former Deputy Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria and ex-presidential candidate, Kingsley Moghalu, has joined the African Democratic Congress ahead of 2023 general elections.
Moghalu, who made this known on his Instagram handle on Friday, shared an e- flier as proof of his membership in the ADC, with the caption, “Its official!”

His words in the flier read, “”I believe we can re-engineer Nigeria’s economy through… the well-known dynamism and innovative spirit of Nigerian youth. I ask all my political supporters, to join the ADC.”
Moghalu was also present in a conference held by the ADC on Friday, which was streamed live on the party’s Facebook page.
In June 2021, Moghalu declared his intention to run for Nigerian presidency again in the 2023 general elections.
The former presidential candidate who ran under the Young Progressive Party in 2019, promised Nigeria an “inclusive national leadership on the one hand, and the fundamental constitutional restructuring of Nigeria on the other.”
Moghalu’s defection to ADC comes a day after South West Agenda 2023 was launched to rally support for the 2023 presidential bid of National Leader of All Progressives Congress, Bola Tinubu.
The Governor of Lagos State, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, who inaugurated the group, described Tinubu as a rallying figure and a beacon of hope for progressive leadership in Nigeria.
