As the Peoples Democratic Party holds her governorship primaries in the entire country today, Enugu state has witnessed some frontline aspirants withdraw from the race.

Dr. Kingsley Tochukwu Udeh, a foremost aspirant has stepped down from the governorship race.

Speaking to our correspondent this morning, he said he decided to step down in good spirit and a mark of support, alliance and solidarity to the leadership of the party, especially the Governor, Rt. Hon. Dr. Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi. He promised to continue to support the party.

In the same vein, he congratulated Barr. Peter Ndubuisi Mbah for being the choice of the people. He assured Mbah of his participation and full support once campaigns commence.

Udeh, who is from Ozalla in Nkanu West local government is an alumnus of the College of the Immaculate Conception (CIC) Enugu. He holds a Bachelor of Laws Degree from the University of Nigeria, a Master of Laws Degree (Nottingham, Uk) and Doctor of Laws (LLD/Ph.D) from the University of Stellenbosch, South Africa.

He has lectured in the Law Faculties of Baze University, Abuja, and the University of Nigeria, Enugu, as well as in the Nigerian Law School.

Until his interest in the governorship race, he was the Special Adviser on Education to Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi.

Udeh is a development expert with international exposure and an experience spanning two decades in different international bodies.
