Three South West governors of the All Progressives Congress (APC) on Friday, met Rivers State governor, Nyesom Wike, behind closed-door in Port Harcourt. The governors were Kayode Fayemi (Ekiti State), Rotimi Akeredolu (Ondo State) and Babajide Sanwo-Olu (Lagos State) and former Ekiti State governor, Ayo Fayose.
Saturday Sun gathered that Fayose arrived before the three governors.
At the time of filing this report, they were still at the meeting, details of the meeting still uncertain. In June, Governor Wike had similar visits by Ebonyi State governor, Dave Umahi, of APC and Mr. Peter Obi, the presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP).
Other groups that visited Governor Wike at his private residence in Rumuepirikom were the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) Senate Caucus and Bauchi State governor, Bala Mohammed accompanied by some chieftains of the party. Meetings by the visitors with Wike were held behind closed-door and there was no media coverage at the end of the different private discussions.
