Enugu PDP Gov’ship candidate, Peter Mbah, launches online database for unemployed Enugu graduates, youths

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship candidate in Enugu State, Dr Peter Mbah, has launched an online database for the compilation of data on unemployed graduates and youths in the state.

Mbah in a statement by his media office, said the online database will capture the statistics of the teeming unemployed graduates and youths in the state for job opportunities and capacity building in the various sectors.

He explained that it will be made accessible to government agencies as well as the private sector, adding that the latter will play a central role in his administration’s planned economic growth if elected as governor in 2023.

The PDP governorship flag bearer whose blueprint for the development of the state has as its main thrust the exponential growth of the state’s gross domestic product (GDP) from $4.4 Billion to $30 Billion, stressed that citizens of the state deserved a good life predicated on gainful employment and job satisfaction, urging unemployed people to embrace the initiative.

“To build the Enugu of our dream where crime and insecurity are not a major concern to citizens, we must make job creation a top priority.

“The first step in this direction is the compilation of a comprehensive database of unemployed graduates and youths in the state.

“The online database will capture their statistics for job opportunities and capacity building in the various sectors.

*It will be accessible to government agencies and departments, as well as the private sector which will play a central role in our planned economic growth and expansion.

“The success of this project is dependent on the participation of the target beneficiaries, our teeming unemployed graduates and youths. I therefore appeal to them to embrace the initiative and register at Enugu Employment Portal.”
