Nweke gave an audacious speech that charged the traditional rulers to reclaim the collective consciousness of the Igbo identity and pride on the national stage, while emphasizing the need to institute a government that understands service to the people as a core part of the Igbo cosmology.

“Our fathers before us stood their ground and fought for the freedom of Ndi Igbo. Our heroes past as Michael Okpara and Jim Nwobodo understood what it meant to honor our value of shared prosperity, onye aghana nwanne ya. Nations came to understudy their progress. Our own generation must leave a legacy that can be retold with pride” He stated.

Igwe Julius Nnaji thanked him for making a powerful call to Ndi Igbo and recalled Nweke’s service as the Chief of Staff from 2000 to 2003 as one of diligence, marked with brilliance and integrity.
