It was all joy and jubilation as the employees of a reputable and trusted real estate company, Horizontal City Property Developers Limited, received a surprise gift of a plot of land, each, from Engr. Paul Basil Iloegbouba, the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of the company, making them landlords in the plush Enugu city.

In a video and message which he shared on his personal Facebook page, Iloegbouba made the announcement, Tuesday, October 4, 2022 during a staff meeting at the Enugu, Independence Layout office of the company.

The message read: “I called my staff for a meeting and after the meeting everyone of them was given one plot of land.

“If they serve you, service them and encourage them to come up.

“Yesterday they weren’t landlords but today they are all landlords. Congratulations to you guys. Horizontal City Property Developers Ltd, God is helping us”.

In the video, the employees were seen expressing mixed emotions of shock, joy and appreciation for the generous gift as they referred to him as “Godsent”. They expressed profound gratitude for his benevolence and reiterated their confidence in him and working with him.

Part of the transcribed video read “…Because of that, we’re giving one plot of land to everyone of you at Kubana estate. Starting from today you’re a landlord”.

In his post, Iloegbouba acknowledged their priceless service, efforts and hard work. He noted the importance of rewarding great service and encouraging more excellence.
