As the November 12 date of the 2022 edition of the Frontier Discourse Annual Public Lecture and Awards draws closer, winners of the Business Personality of the Year, Public Servant of the Year and Woman of the Time Awards, Hon. Ogochukwu Ekwueme, Dr. David Ugwunta, respectively, have all described their recognition by The Pacesetter Frontier Magazine as a spur to continue to provide solutions in business, work for good governance in the country and render selfless services.

Speaking separately when they received a delegation from The Pacesetter Frontier Magazine that came to present letters announcing them as winners in their respective categories in Enugu, the trio said they were humbled by the honour.

Ekwueme who was the Director of Robertson Nigeria Limited and currently the Transition Chairman, Orumba North Local Government Area, Anambra state, was excited by his emergence from the voting process. He appreciated the class the magazine exuded in her activities and publications.

Stating his resolve to attend in person to receive the award, he urged the magazine to further strengthen her process so that categories can have single winners emerge per category.

When I got to know The Pacesetter Frontier Magazine in 2021, I did not imagine this growth within a short time. The magazine has continued to set the pace, while maintaining a great poise in Journalism.

On the process of the award, he said “From the nominations, voting and announcement of results, the entire process was transparent. The recognition has further validated our belief that the strides of the government of my boss, the Executive Governor of Enugu State, Rt. Hon. Dr. Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi, CON, isn’t going unnoticed.

“I encourage your magazine to extend her scope beyond the Southeast and Southsouth regions. You have all it takes to make it a national media body”, Ugwunta said.

The winner of the Woman of the Time Award, Dr. Dorothy Jeff-Nnamani who is the CEO of Novo Health Africa Ltd, a Health Maintenance Organization and Founder of Youth Entrepreneurship and Leadership Initiative – Yeli, also had great joy for emerging as the winner.

She recounted how she initially didn’t take interest in the process when she received a letter notifying her of her nomination, but how that stance changed when she saw how credibly the entire process was proceeding in the ten days it lasted till she eventually emerged the winner in her category.

Jeff-Nnamani thanked the magazine and the public that voted her, stating that the award is a call pushing her to do more.

The second edition of the Frontier Discourse Public Lecture and Awards will be held on Saturday, November 12, 2022 at De Dome Event Center, Edward Nnaji Street, New Haven, Enugu, by 11am (Red Carpet).

The Keynote speaker is Prof. Okey Ikechukwu, mni, a Member of This Day Newspaper Editorial Board, Professor of Strategic Management and Human Capital Development and Executive Director, Development Specs Academy and he will speak on the topic “The Purpose of Power: Ambition for Common Good and Our Culture of Silence and Endurance”.

Dignitaries to be in attendance are the Chief Guest of Honor, His Excellency, Sen. Dr. Ken Nnamani, GCON, Former President of the Nigerian Senate and the Special Guests of Honor, Major General Obi Abel Umahi, Former General Officer Commanding of the 81 Division of the Nigerian Army, and Rt. Hon. Chief U.S.A Igwesi, Member, 5th National Assembly, Former Leader, Enugu State House of Assembly, and others.
