The governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in Enugu State, Dr. Peter Mbah, has promised to dismantle all road barricades around at the Government House axis and other places within Enugu metropolis if elected governor on March 18.
Speaking both on Enugu’s Dream 92.5 FM’s Political Voices on Monday and Urban Radio on Thursday, the PDP governorship hopeful described the situation as a low hanging fruit which he would deal with without delay upon emergence as governor.
He said this is important in order to maintain free and unhindered flow of vehicular and human movements within the state.
βWhen we secure your mandate, upon our emergence as governor, we will spare no time in dismantling all barricades along our roads in order to ease movements, decongest unnecessary traffic and create enabling environment for business flow,β he added.
Dr. Mbah further assured the state of his commitment to a world class road infrastructure, such as modern transportation system, light rail, construction of new roads and availability of new vehicles for movement.
