The race to the Lion Building, Enugu State’s seat of power, has come to an end following the declaration of Dr. Peter Ndubuisi Mbah of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, as the winner of the tightly contested 2023 Enugu State Governorship Election by the Independent National Electoral Commission.
Mbah scored a total of 160,895 valid votes to defeat his closest contender and Labour Party candidate, Barr. Chijioke Edeoga, who scored 157,552 valid votes.
The announcement was made by INEC after the resumption of the collation center this night.
