Enugu Town Union Presidents General congratulates Mbah, Governor-elect, hails victory as people’s choice

The Enugu State Association of Presidents General of Town Unions has congratulated the state’s governor-elect, Dr. Peter Mbah, over his victory at the polls.

The union, in a congratulatory message jointly signed by its State President General, Chief Barr. Paully Eze, and the State Deputy President General, Hon. Arinze Ogbodo, hailed the process that produced the governor-elect, stressing that the victory showed the voices of the people were heard at the polls.

The leaders of all the autonomous communities in the state further prayed that God would continue to guide and direct Mbah in his resolve to transform the state.

They expressed optimism that his administration would transform the state once inaugurated on May 29.

The body also commended Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi’s administration for its support and encouragement of the town unions since inception in 2015.

“The Enugu State Town Unions heartily congratulate the Governor-Elect of Enugu State, Barr. Dr. Ndubuisi Mbah and his Deputy, Barr. Ifeanyi Ossai, for their well-deserved victory at the 2023 governorship election in the State.

“The voice of the people is indeed the voice of God. We rejoice with you and pray the Almighty God to shield and guide you as you enter the Lion Building on 29th May, 2023, to lead our dear State.

“We also appreciate the Executive Governor of Enugu State, His Excellency, Rt. Hon. Dr. Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi (CON) for all his support and encouragement of Town Unions in the State since he assumed office as Governor. We pray God to protect and direct him in all his future endeavours,” part of the statement read.
