Jeff Nnamani, Davido, Kunle Afolyan, Victor Osimhen, other Nigerians to receive National Honours

On May 28, 2023, Immediate past President, Muhammadu Buhari, listed Dr. Jeff Nnamani as one of the recipients of an award of National Honour as Member of The Order of Federal Republic, MFR.

Nnamani was listed along with other Nigerians of note like Hip Hop star, Davido; Nollywood filmmaker, Kunle Afolayan; and Super Eagles and Napoli striker, Victor Osimhen.

The Ministry of Special Duties and Intergovernmental Affairs announced the award in various cadres to some citizens and friends of Nigeria as approved by Buhari.

All the award recipients were asked to send a soft copy of their citation or resume to the ministry before May 31.

They are also expected to be physically present for the reception of their medals and certificates on June 1, 2023.

Prince Dr. Jeff Emeka Nnamani who hails from Agbani in Nkanu West LGA of Enugu State, worked with Total Nigeria Plc for about 30 years.

He retired as Executive Director (Strategy), a position he held following his appointment in 2015.

Nnamani is a well-known industry expert with more than 25 years downstream experience.

He has sat as a Member, Board of Directors, NICON Insurance Corporation (2001-2006); Member Governing Council, Yaba College of Technology (2006-2010) and Fellow, Institute of Credit Administration of Nigeria (FICA).     

In 2016, he was awarded with an Honorary Doctorate Degree by the Enugu State Univeristy of Technology.

In 2022, he indicated his interest to run for Governor of Enugu State under the All Progressives Grand Alliance, but he didn’t clinch the party’s guber ticket.

Married to Dr. Dorothy Jeff-Nnamani, their marriage is blessed with four children; 3 boys and one girl.
