According to Okenta, “The N1,000,000,000.00 empowerment programme which was flagged-off today [Yesterday] by the Governor is the 1st batch for 500 Ebonyians living in various cities across the country who are into various menial jobs”.

Continuing, Okenta said, “The State has carefully profiled these people and provided the enabling environment at the Stateā€™s Vocational Training Centre, for them to develop themselves in various skills. This is overseen by the State Ministries of Commerce and Industry; AND Skill Development and Job Creation.

“Again, the Governor is consistently fulfilling his promises to Ebonyi people as enshrined in The Peopleā€™s Charter of Needs”.

He called both of them, took down their names himself and directed the empowerment committee to include them in the scheme, to receive N2,000,000.00 each.
