Dr. Ezeilo was the first Medical Doctor in his community of Imezi-Owa, Ezeagu LGA, Enugu State. He had an illustrious career as a General Practitioner providing compassionate and competent care to family, friends and communities both rural and urban. Subsequently, he obtained a Master’s Degree in Public Health and served honorably as the Director of Public Health Enugu State from 2001 up until his retirement in 2009. Until his death, he was the chairman of Umudim Imezi-Owa Council of Chiefs. He was a selfless, honorable, affable and good-natured man, which was reflected in his chieftaincy title of Ezeudo. He championed education, along with personal and professional development; thus, he was a mentor and life coach to many, whom he counseled and gave salient advice. He was approachable, humble and well-liked by those who were opportune to know him. He was privileged to complete a pilgrimage to Jerusalem, where he visited Holy Sites central to the history of Christendom.
