In preparedness for the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in 2027 and as part of efforts to strengthen grassroots mobilisation and promote the achievements of the Tinubu administration, the Enugu State Coordinator of the Renewed Hope Ambassadors, Rt. Hon. Ikemba USA Igwesi, has inaugurated coordinators for the 17 local government areas of the state.

The inauguration took place on October 8, 2026, in Enugu, with the newly inaugurated coordinators expected to work with party structures and key stakeholders to advance the Renewed Hope Agenda across the state.

The initiative also seeks to establish ward-level coordination structures and disseminate information about the Tinubu administration’s achievements in the South-East geopolitical zone.

Recall that Igwesi was recently appointed to the position following his nomination by Governor Peter Mbah of Enugu State, and backed by the Tinubu presidency.

Igwesi’s appointment as the Enugu State Coordinator was described by supporters as recognition of his political experience and record in public service. He previously served as Majority Leader of the Enugu State House of Assembly before representing Nkanu East/Nkanu West Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives.

He currently serves as Chairman of the New Enugu Smart City Development Authority.
