I am most delighted, to felicitate the good people of Ebonyi State both at home and in diaspora, on the auspicious occasion of this Christmas celebration. Christmas is a global event, that not only commemorates but also celebrates the birth of Jesus Christ, the Saviour of mankind.

It is no doubt, a season that celebrates the birth of the Prince of Peace and the priceless values of empathy, peace, love, tolerance and the spirit of forgiveness and other virtues that characterised the life and times of our Saviour Jesus Christ.

To the glory of God, Ebonyi State, just like the Saviour who was not limited by circumstances, is also not barred by any socioeconomic and political circumstances which explains why we keep re-echoing the place of peace, love and care for one another.

Living according to scriptural truth, our government is deploying multi-pronged strategies, towards not only preaching but practically demonstrating peace, love, tolerance and forgiveness in all the nooks and crannies of the State.

As Government, we underscore the need to be Christ-like in all we do. Therefore, we have successfully restored peace, and harmonious coexistence to engender social cohesion among communities in the State.

Guided by the fact that our Saviour Jesus Christ addressed a VER plethora of human needs while here, we are very intentional in our intervention programs, by ensuring that peace, love and empathy continue to guide our actions as Government.

My finest people of Ebonyi State, as we celebrate this Christmas, it

will be a sheer waste of time should we give room for rancour, resentment, and envy to take center stage in our lives. We must purge ourselves from anything that will impede the blessings associated with this season. ER

We must in the spirit of the commemoration of the birth of the Prince of Peace strive to be better by combining faith and exemplary conduct in both our public and private lives.

On behalf of my family and the Government of Ebonyi State, I sincerely pray that the blessings that herald Christmas, will spread all through our dear Ebonyi State and move us to be better people.
